i actually recognized this statue (i think the other ones were all former presidents). this is their famous general carl gustav emil mannerheim (he went by "gustav"). finland probably owes its existence to him & it was his idea to deploy mobile "ski troops" in the winter war in 1940, who were largely responsible for finland coming through w/ its independence intact....they wore all white uniforms & skiied through the woods & easily sabbotaged russian troops who had to stick to the roads....
